Sept. 29, 1893 --- December 6, 1969

Dennie Nickeson, 76, retired Casper ironworker, died Saturday at Natrona County Memorial Hospital following a long illness. He came to Casper from Eagle Grove, Iowa, in 1935. He was born in Nevada, Iowa, on Sept. 29, 1893. Nickeson was a veteran of World War I in which he served in France. He was member of the Iron workers Local Union No. 454 of Casper. Nickeson's wife, Margaret, died in 1957, and a son is also dead. For the last 13 years he had made his home with a brother, Joe, at 117 West G. He retired in 1957. Surviving are two other brothers, Richard of Elmira, Ore. and Byron of Denver; and two sisters, Mrs. Ella Weber of Westhope, N.D. and Mrs. Lloyd Corbin of Ames, Iowa.

Funeral services will be conducted at Memorial Chapel on Monday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Douglas M. Scott of Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian church. Interment will be in the Veterans Plot in Highland Cemetery.
