Fern Elizabeth Bloomquist, the daughter of Oscar and Grace Schultz Bloomquist, was born October 17, 1916 at Titonka, Iowa. She attended school at Callender, Iowa. On September 23, 1939 she married Albert Warland of Badger, Iowa at Fort Dodge. They made their home in Eagle Grove following their marriage. She died Saturday, October 9 at the Trinity Regional Hospital, Fort Dodge, at the age of 59 years, 11 months and 22 days. She had been in ill health for about one year.

Survivors include her husband, Albert, Eagle Grove; five daughters, Janet (Mrs. Charlie)
Johnson, Nebraska City, Neb.; Shirley (Mrs. Bobby) Ford, Eagle Grove; Eldora (Mrs. Sylvester) Ferrell, Bakersfield, Calif.; Alberta (Mrs. Merle) Anderson, Eagle Grove; Barbara Jean (Mrs. Ronnie) Wenzl, Tecumseh, Neb.; four brothers, Don Bloomquist, Lake Crystal, Minn.; Norman Bloomquist, Duncombe; Harold Bloomquist, Shakopee, Minn.: Earl Bloomquist, Humboldt; two sisters, Eleanor (Mrs. John Haliday, Humboldt); Norma (Mrs. Alfred) Clark, Colorado Springs, Colo.; 19 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 12, 1976 at 1:30 p.m. at the Samuel Lutheran Church, Eagle Grove. Reverend Orville Sanderson officiated and burial was in the North Lawn Cemetery, Fort Dodge, Iowa.
