Hazel Kirk Ennis
November 20, 1887 --- August 25, 1888

“Our baby is dead." Such was the sad and crushing reality of Mr. and Mrs. Will C. Ennis last Saturday morning about 6 o'clock, invoking the sympathy of all. Medical skill could not arrest the "fell destroyer," and in spite of all that loving hands could do the spark of life left the frail tenement of clay and was wafted to heaven. Hazel Kirk Ennis was aged 9 months and 5 days. She first had the measles, then whooping cough and lastly cholera infantum, becoming so reduced in strength and body that the little sufferer could not rally. Funeral services were held at the residence of the parents Monday afternoon and the remains were tenderly deposited at Rose Hill.
