GEO. ELWOOD FOUND DEAD NEAR HOME
Body Found By the Side Of His Residence In Goldfield Last Saturday Noon.

George Elwood, 62, was found dead by the side of his home in Goldfield last Saturday noon. He was last seen alive Friday afternoon. With the assistance of a neighbor, he had unloaded a truck load of coal on the ground outside of his home. Evidently he was shoveling the coal into his basement when he was stricken and died. The time of his death was probably late Friday afternoon as neighbors could not recall having seen lights in his home Friday evening. He had recently purchased the late George Ressinger residence in Goldfield, which he was remodeling.

Funeral services were held at the Wilson Funeral Chapel in Eagle Grove Tuesday afternoon with the Chaplain Robert Ruleman in charge. Burial was at Leland, Iowa.
