John VanNatta died this morning at 3 o’clock at his home, 1127 Market street, aged sixty-one years. Deceased was a carpenter contractor and builder by occupation. He is survived by his wife and five children, also one grandson.

The funeral will be held Sunday at 12 o'clock noon at the residence, conducted by Rev. Radcliffe of Market Street M. E. church. At 1:15 Sunday the remains will be taken via the Panhandle to Eagle Grove, Ia., for burial.

John VanNatta Burled Here.

The death of John VanNatta occurred at his home at Logansport, Ind., April 26, 1918, caused by heart failure. The remains were brought to Eagle Grove and were buried here yesterday and a number of old friends rendered a last service to his memory.

Mr. VanNatta is survived by his wife and five children. The children are J. L. VanNatta of Los Angeles, K. C. VanNatta of Logansport, Ind., and George, who is in the service, also two daughters, Laura and Stella, who are in Eagle Grove.

Mrs. VanNatta and the two sons J. L. and K. C. were here with the remains.

Mr. VanNatta was for a number or years in the employ of the Northwestern at this place. He was a brakeman, then yard master. He quit the service and left Eagle Grove about eleven years ago.
