Mrs. L. Van Deelen Dies Tuesday P. M.

Mrs. Leonard Van Deelen, 51, died about 5 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in a Fort Dodge hospital where she had been a patient for a week. Mrs. Van Deelen had two operations Tuesday and Friday and was making a satisfactory recovery until pneumonia set in Monday morning.

She is survived by her husband, Leonard Van Deelen, C. and N. W. switchman, and one son DeWayne Van Deelen, of Humboldt.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Methodist church, and will be in charge of the Rev. Clarence W. Tompkins of Fort Dodge, former Eagle Grove pastor. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery.

MRS. LEONARD VAN DEELEN

Agnes Doris Enderson, was born Feb. 5, 1898 in Sioux Rapids, Iowa, to parents, Mr. and Mrs. Syvert Enderson. She was baptized when an infant in the Lutheran church, and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at the age of 15.

She was married to Leonard Van Deelen October 29, 1919 in Sioux Rapids, and they came to Eagle Grove to make their home. One son, DeWayne Van Deelen was born to this union. Death came on Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 3rd, in a Fort Dodge hospital.

She joined the Methodist church in Eagle Grove In 1928.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, Aug. 5th in the Methodist church, in charge of Rev. Clarence W. Tompkins of Fort Dodge. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery. She leaves to mourn their loss: her husband, her son DeWayne of Humboldt, Ia., one grandson, Leonard Van Deelen, and six sisters and three brothers; Mrs. Ida Tolifson of Hancock, Minn., Mrs. Randa Johnson of San Francisco, Calif., Mrs. Clara Ashburn of Spencer, Mrs. Louise Davis of Marathon, Mrs. Emma Paulson of Sioux Rapids, Mrs. Opal Lawson of San Francisco, Cal., Sam Endersen of Alta, and Carl Enderson of Rembrandt, and Elmer Endersen of Sioux Rapids.

Out of town relatives and friends, here for the funeral were: Mrs. Randa Johnson and Mrs. Opal W. Lawson of San Francisco, Cal.; Mr. and Mrs. Sam Endersen, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Enderson, Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Endersen, Mr. and Mrs. Omer Endersen, Mrs. A. J. Hegna, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Benstown of Alta; Mr. and Mrs. John Van Deelen, Minneapolis, Minn.; Henry Tolifson, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Tolifson, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Tolifson, Mrs. Dunda Riplinger, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Spielman, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Tolifson, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Tolifson, Hancock, Minn.; Mrs. G. E. Davis, Mrs. Cassius Howe, Mrs. Elmer Rosene, Marathon; Elmer Endersen Sioux Rapids; Jack Eversoll, Ira Eversoll, Humboldt.
