Alvin Patrick Jeanblanc was born July 23, 1919, in Vincent, Iowa, to Henry and Anna O'Connor Jeanblanc, and graduated from Corpus Christi High School. In 1952, he was united in marriage to Cecelia Lampe at St. Joseph's Church in Palmer, Iowa, and they established their home on a farm near Vincent where he farmed until his retirement. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 613.

Alvin P. Jeanblanc died Wednesday, January 17, 2001, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of 81. He is survived by three sons, David, Eagle Grove, Iowa, Mark, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Joel, Urbandale, Iowa; four daughters, Ellen Harper, Kansas City, Mo., Ann Bowers, Flower Mound, Texas, Laura Bohlman, Kansas City, Mo., and Nancy Handley, Bondurant, Iowa; 15 grandchildren; one-great-grandson; and one sister, Stella Algoe, Badger, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, M. Cecelia Jeanblanc; three brothers, Wilbur, Raymond, and Gerald; and one sister, Geraldine.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 20, 2001, at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel of Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home in Fort Dodge, Iowa, and 1 p.m. at Corpus Christi Church with the Reverend Lynn Bruch officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial in Corpus Christi Cemetery. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home of Fort Dodge was in charge of arrangements.
