Former Resident To be Buried Here

Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie Carlton, who passed away at Pasadena, Calif., will be held at Wilson’s Chapel Saturday morning at 10 o’clock. Interment will be in the family lot in Rose Hill cemetery. Rev. J. R. Tumbleson will be in charge.

Mrs. G. H. Carlton Buried Saturday

Funeral services for Mrs. George Carlton were held Saturday morning at 10 o’clock at the Wilson Funeral Chapel. Rev. J. R. Tumbleson was in charge and burial was made in Rose Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Carlton was a long time resident of Eagle Grove and the family home was on North Iowa Ave. Mrs. Carlton for the past several years has made her home in Pasadena, Calif., and during the last winter went to Ames, where she again expected to make her home. About two weeks before her death she had changed her plans and returned to Pasadena.

Hattie E. Vosberg [Vosburgh] was born in Albany, Wis., in 1859. She was married to George H. Carlton in 1887, in Dayton, Iowa. They came to Eagle Grove the same year and later made their home in Ames, and traveled from there to the South and West. Mr. Carlton died March 28, 1928, and since that time Mrs. Carlton has made her home in Pasadena, Calif.

She died March 17, 1941, at the age of 82 years. She is survived by one son L. M. Carlton of Chicago and one daughter, Mrs. Albert Horns of Des Moines.
