Dwight Millard Anderson, son of Millard Hans and Cleo Carson Anderson, was born November 13, 1920, at Goldfield. He received his education there through high school, later attending UCLA at Los Angeles, Calif. He served as Sargeant in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. In 1942, Dwight was united in marriage with Lucille Kist. They lived in Des Moines, moving to Eagle Grove in 1948. Lucille died in 1973. Dwight died Saturday night, March 24, 1979, at his home at the age of 58. Preceding him in death were his father and wife, Lucille. Survivors include his mother; one son, Dwight of Eagle Grove; four daughters: Susan Marie, Colleen, Mary and Carol Jean of Eagle Grove and four grandchildren. Dwight had been a member of the Sacred Heart Church and American Legion. Funeral services were held Monday, March 26, 1979 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Eagle Grove. Rev. Norman White officiated and burial was at Calvary Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
