Marguerite Frances Wright, the daughter of William Andrew and Mary Frances Bolton Wright, was born on
Jan. 28, 1898 at Ledyard, Iowa. At the age of seven years, she moved with her family to Algona, Iowa. She graduated from the Algona High School and then attended the University of Northern Iowa at Cedar Falls. In 1925, Frances moved to Eagle Grove. Since 1930, she made her home with Miss Hazel Brooks until Miss Brooks death in 1976.

Frances was baptized in the First Congregational Church of Algona and later transferred her membership to the Congregational United Church of Christ in Eagle Grove. She was a life member of Eagle Chapter No. 114 of the Order of the Eastern Star; over a 50 year member of Sharon Shrine, No. 14 of the White Shrine of Jerusalem; and was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge.

She died early Monday morning, Jan. 31, 1983 at the Kanawha Nursing Home in Kanawha, where she had been a resident for the past few days. She attained the age of 85 years and three days.

Surviving are two nieces, Mildred, Mrs. J. K. Bulmer of Santa Monica, Calif, and Margaret, Mrs. Keith J. Corson of Carbondale, Ill. and several cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Bessie May, Mrs. R. E. Jewett, two brothers, William Bolton Wright and Harry Andrew Wright, and Miss Brooks.

Funeral services for Miss M. Frances Wright, were held on Friday, Feb. 4, 1983, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Church of Christ of Eagle Grove, Rev. Kenneth Reiter and Rev. Howell Bischoff officiated and burial was in the family lot at the Riverview Cemetery in Algona. Eastern Star services were held on Thursday at 8 p.m. at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home.
