October 17, 1911 --- February 5, 1983

Clarence Samuel Bromley, the son of Samuel and Catherine Adams Bromley, was born on Oct. 17, 1911, in Wright County near Woolstock, Iowa. He was married to Gladys Beireis on Nov. 7, 1942 at Princeton, Mo. The family lived in several communities in Iowa and he was a baker for the past 23 years. He had lived in Albert Lea, Minn. His wife died on June 8, 1982. He was visiting his daughter at Eagle Grove, Iowa, when he became ill and was taken to the Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge, where he has been a patient for the past two weeks. He died at the hospital, on Saturday night, Feb. 5, 1983 at the age of 71 years, three months and 18 days.

He is survived by three daughters, Taletta, Mrs. David Gross of Eagle Grove, Iowa; Filena, Mrs. Charles Beer of Albert Lea; Theresa, Mrs. Donald Mickelson of Albert Lea; a son, James Sunde of Albert Lea; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a brother, Gerald Bromley of Eagle Grove and two sisters, Miss Irene Bromley of Eagle Grove and Angie, Mrs. Carl Gord of Eagle Grove and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Clarence S. Bromley, will be held at the St. Theodores Catholic Church in Albert Lea and the burial will be in the church cemetery. The Bonnerup and Son Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements in Albert Lea and the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home of Eagle Grove was in charge of the local arrangements.
