Margaret Heuton, 80, died Monday, May 26, 2003, at McAllen Medical Center in McAllen, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, July 18, at the Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City, Iowa. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday July 19 at the Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City with the Rev. Robert Thiele officiating. Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 19, at 1:30 p.m. at the Calvary Cemetery in Eagle Grove.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; two sons: Michael Robert Heuton of Grand Junction, Colorado;
and John Thomas Heuton, of Kennesaw, Georgia; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Helen, and two brothers, Paul and Roger.

Margaret Mary Mentzer was born November 30, 1922 in Eagle Grove, Iowa, the daughter of Francis and
Nina (Northrup) Mentzer. On March 24, 1944 she was married to Robert Heuton in Manning, Iowa. She was a graduate of St. Anthony's School of Nursing in Carroll, Iowa. She was a registered nurse at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Missouri from 1959 until her retirement in 1987. She and Roger were longtime members of St. Agnes Cathedral in Springfield, Missouri. Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City is in charge of arrangements.
