Harry Anderson Funeral Held Tuesday

Harry Anderson passed away at the Lutheran hospital in Ft. Dodge Saturday. Funeral services were held at the Kastler Funeral home and the Evangelical Lutheran church in Eagle Grove and burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Harry Sanford Anderson was born March 7, 1891, near Eagle Grove. His parents were Alfred, commonly called Fred, Anderson and his wife, Tina Anderson. He died in a Fort Dodge hospital on Saturday, November 1, 1947, at the age of 56 years, seven months and 25 days. He received Christian baptism in the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran church April 14, 1891. His mother died while he was very young and his father a few years later, but he found a good home, attended public schools and grew to manhood in Wright county.

He was united in marriage to Kathryn Sherman February 19, 1919. To this union was born a son, John Fredrick, but who died in infancy.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Kathryn Anderson, by his step-mother, Mrs. Carrie Vaughn Anderson Lucas, and by two brothers; Earl Anderson of Goldfield, and William Anderson of Richmond, Calif. Also by half brothers and a sister: Donald and Max Anderson of Los Angeles, Calif., Carlyle Anderson, Canada, and Mrs. Averil Prouty, Los Angeles, California.

Mr. Anderson was a kind and friendly man, a good husband, a helpful and understanding neighbor. He will be missed by all who knew him. He was taken suddenly and seriously ill about a week before his death and passed away very quickly.

Harry Anderson Funeral Tuesday

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Evangelical Lutheran church. Eagle Grove, for Harry Anderson, 56, who died Saturday evening in a Fort Dodge hospital. He had been a patient there since October 12.

Mr. Anderson, who farmed near here for many years, is survived by his wife, one brother Earl Anderson of Goldfield, and one brother Will in Richmond, California.

Harry Sanford Anderson was born March 7, 1891, near Eagle Grove, Iowa, to the parents Elfred, commonly called Fred Anderson and his wife Tina Anderson, and died at the hospital in Fort Dodge, Iowa, Saturday, November 1, 1947, age 56 years, 7 months, and 25 days. Burial services were held Tuesday afternoon, November 4, from the Kastler Funeral Home at Eagle Grove, and from the Evangelical Lutheran church. Burial was made in the Rose Hill cemetery.
