John Knutson was born near Sheridan, Ill., Nov. 2, 1875 and died near Eagle Grove, Iowa, June 19, 1927, age 51 years, 7 months, and 17 days.

Mr. Knutson moved from Sheridan with his parents first to Vermillion county and later to Ford county, Ill., coming with his parents to Eagle Grove, Iowa in the spring of 1902. And since then he has lived near Eagle Grove.

His health began to fail him about two or three years ago. He sought medical help, but it did not seem that there was lasting aid for him to be found. He suffered a stroke of paralysis, seemingly sometime last Wednesday. He was living alone in his farm home and was found in a helpless condition last Thursday by Edwin Berg his neighbor. He was immediately taken to the home of his brother, Isaac, where he passed away Sunday morning.

He leaves his aged father, Cornelius Knutson, his sister, Mrs. Anna Sebby of Sheridan, Ill., two brothers, Joseph Knutson of Curtis, Wis. and Isaac Knutson of Eagle Grove. His mother passed away here in Eagle Grove, May 5, 1916.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Knutson and from the East Side Lutheran church. Burial was made in the Rose Hill cemetery.
