Mrs. Anna Younie, sister of Mrs. Earl Hall of this city, died Monday in Cedar Rapids after an illness of several weeks. Mrs. Younie had been here for the past month visiting her sister, and was taken to a hospital in Cedar Rapids on last Thursday. Funeral services were held in Norway, Iowa, Tuesday morning at the home of her sister, Mrs. Eleanor Doyen Gunderson, with whom she had made her home for the past five years. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery here.

Obituary
Anna Geraldine Doyen Younie was born at Parkersburg, August 14, 1886, and died at St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids on June 19, 1939, at the age of 52 years, 10 months and 4 days. At the age of 14, she was confirmed at the German Lutheran church in Waterloo. She was married October 7, 1909, at Waterloo, to Bert Younie of Schaller, Iowa, where they lived on a farm until his death in 1931. Two children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Younie, William Younie of Chicago, and Joan Younie of Des Moines.

She had made her home for the last five years with her sister, Mrs. Eleanor Gunderson In Norway, Ia. She leaves to mourn, her aged father, F. M. Doyen, one brother, George Doyen, and four sisters, Mrs. Earl Hall of this city, Mrs. Louise Fitzpatrick of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Minnie Cromble of Minneapolis, Minn., and Mrs. Eleanor Gunderson of Norway, Iowa, and her son and daughter.

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, June 20th, in Norway, in charge of Rev. E. Dalen, and burial was in Rose Hill cemetery, Eagle Grove, Tuesday afternoon. Miss Joan Younie of Des Moines, Mrs. Minnie Cromble of Minneapolis, Minn., and Mrs. Eleanor Gunderson were here for the funeral.
