2 December 1870 --- 17 March 1942

Elizabeth Ann Young, daughter of Margaret and William Porter Young, was born at Iowa Falls Dec. 2, 1870. She spent her childhood and young womanhood in Iowa Falls. She was married Oct. 16, 1889 Thomas Farrell. Six children were born to this union. Mrs. Farrell was preceded in death by her children, Robert, Leon, Elizabeth, and Mildred, and is survived by Mrs. Helen Colquist of Chicago, and Mrs. Florence Porter of Eagle Grove. Mr. Farrell died November 1, 1923. Except for a few years spent in southern Illinois, she has lived in Eagle Grove the past 50 years.

Mrs. Farrell was a member of the local Congregational Church, the Order of Eastern Star, and the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.

She is survived by three brothers, H. E. Boughton of Burbank, Calif., Daniel Young of Iowa Falls, and Burton C. Young of Glendale, Calif., one sister, Mrs. Maude Schmidt of Madison, S. Dak., and three grandchildren, David and Elizabeth Porter of Eagle Grove, and Howard Porter of Santa Monica, Calif.
