After a Six Weeks Illness Yields to Inevitable. Was Former Member of Local Militia Company, A Clean, Successful Young Man.
The community was shocked Tuesday morning by the sad news of the death of Adolph Klinger. He was about 22 years of age, a strong young man whom nature intended for a long life.
He was in the employment of the Northwestern as boiler maker a work especially taxing upon the vigor and menacing to good health. He contracted rheumatism in this work, and later his heart became affected causing his untimely death. He was a loyal member of the Knights of Columbus.
Adolph Klinger was born In Eagle Grove September 1, 1894 being nearly 22 years and 3 months old.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mary Klinger, three sisters and one brother. The sisters are Mrs. John Prendergast of Sac City, Misses Rose and Harmon Klinger of Eagle Grove: The brother Is Charles Klinger of Ft. Dodge.
The funeral will be held Thursday morning in the Catholic church at 9:30. Rev. Father Nolan will conduct the services.
Among those present from out of the city to attend the funeral were Mrs. Ambrose Dunlady of Carson, Iowa, sister of Mrs. Klinger, Mrs. Harmon Klinger of Chicago; Mr. M. Neugirg of Baltimore, brother of Mrs. Klinger; Mrs. Wm. Wood of St. Joe, Missouri; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hendrof of Dumont; Emil Ecker of Belle Plaine and Zedor Ecker of Pierre, South Dakota.
Adolph was a fine young man, of clean life, and liked by everybody. He was at one time a member of the national guards and at camp served in the cooking department. Every acquaintance is saddened by his death and feels the loss of a personal friend. The bereaved family has the sympathy of the entire community.
