Mrs. Sam Umstead Rites In Methodist Church Saturday

Funeral services for Mrs. Sam Umstead were held Saturday afternoon in the Methodist church at two o’clock with the Rev. Roy Cox officiating.

Mrs. Umstead died at her home on North Iowa Ave. Wednesday evening.

Mrs. Umstead, the former Nellie Mae McCutcheon, was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William McCutcheon of Goldfield. She is survived by her husband and six children, LeRoy, Robert, Paul, Lyden, Mrs. Dale Zeigler and Richard. Other survivors are 13 grandchildren, six sisters and two brothers.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery and casket bearers were Everett McCutcheon, Bernard Trotter, Melvin Umstead, Leonard McCutcheon, Forrest Ekels and Marvin Axon.
