Mrs. Leroy Umsted Funeral Wednesday

Myrtle Alice Paulson was born to John and Olina Paulson, at Eagle Grove, Iowa, Jan. 16, 1913, and died at Rochester, Minn., Oct. 10, 1938, at the age of 25 years, 8 months and 24 days. Myrtle’s mother died when she was about two years old, and her father died two years later. She was received into the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hetland, and adopted by them. Here Myrtle found a good Christian home and a kind mother.

She was baptized into Christ in infancy, received instruction and confessed her Christian faith. On July 19, 1935, she was united in marriage to Leroy Umstead. To this union one little girl, Joan Lee, was born, who now with her father mourns the loss of a kind and loving mother. She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Hannah Hetland and by uncles and aunts.

Myrtle was a kind personality, rather quiet and reserved. She had many friends who will miss her, but especially will she be missed in her home. She was faithful to her church and her Saviour.

Funeral Services were held Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 12th, from the home and from the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran church.

January 16, 1913 – October 10, 1938
