FRANCIS MCNULTY

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 8, 1980 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Chruch for Francis John McNulty, 74, who died October 5 at his home at Tama. Monsignor Alvan P. Heuring officiated. Burial was in St. Francis Cemetery. Fulton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Francis McNulty was born July 29, 1904 at Goodell to Frank and Katherine Goggins McNulty. He received his education in the Goodell school. On February 28, 1927 he was married to Sophronia Fuller at Goodell. Former Belmond residents, they had lived in Tama for the past several years.

Preceding him in death were his parents, one son, one daughter and two sisters.

Surviving are his wife, Sophronia McNulty of Tama; one son Paul McNulty of Des Moines; one daughter, Helen (Mrs. Harold) McClure of Tama; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Casket bearers were Reese McNulty, John McNulty, Kay Winfrey and Nina McCorkle of Des Moines and Marc and Eva McClure of Tama.
