Beloved wife, mother, grandmother
Iris Mae Bagnard (nee: Kennedy), 93, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at St. Joseph Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Iris was born in Clarion, Iowa, on December 14, 1925, one of six daughters and two sons of the late William and Edith (nee: Schmidt) Kennedy. She graduated from Moody Bible Institute with a Bachelor’s Degree. Iris worked for Gundaker Realtors and American Cities Water. She was also an avid seamstress, but her true passion was Christian service. Iris was a charter member of First Baptist Church of Harvester (now Waypoint Church). She volunteered with the Homebound Ministries and the Singles Ministry at her beloved church. Iris loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all her heart and devoted her life to working for Him. During her lifetime of Christian service, she volunteered countless hours at church and went on mission trips to Greece, Kenya, and Haiti.
Iris is survived by her son Vaughn Bagnard and her sister Zola (David) Kinnick; she is also survived by her grandchildren Stephen Bagnard, Christine Stevens, Matt White, and Melissa Bundas; and many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Iris is preceded in death by her husband, Frank L. Bagnard, and daughter-in-law Diana (Elliot) Bagnard. She is also preceded in death by her parents, brother Ronald (Alberta) Kennedy, brother James Kennedy, sister Ramona (Harold) Williams, sister Dorothy (Jack) Foster, sister Deloris (Herbert) Moon, and sister Shirley (Warren) Scott.
Iris was dearly loved and will be missed by her family and friends. Memorial contributions may be made in Iris’ honor to a charity of the donor’s choosing.
