FLORENCE IRENE MCNULTY

Florence Irene McNulty was born at Goodell, Iowa, May 6, 1898, and died in Chicago, Illinois, October 30, 1919 after a nine days illness with pneumonia.

She attended the Goodell School until her graduation from the High School with the class of 1916. After graduation here she took a year’s commercial schooling at Mt. St. Clair at Clinton. After finishing school at Clinton she accepted a position with the Gregg Publishing Co. in Chicago and had worked for them continuously to the time of her fatal sickness.

She leaves to mourn her loss her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank McNulty, and a brother, Francis, all of Goodell and a sister, Mamie, of Chicago, besides numerous more distant relatives and a host of friends..

The remains arrived from Chicago Saturday morning and were taken to the McNulty residence where they were viewed by many sorrowing friends. The floral offerings were many and beautiful presented by both Goodell and Chicago people who knew her.

Funeral services were held from St. Mary Catholic Church Monday at 9:30, conducted by the Rev. Father Eardley, who has been her pastor since her girlhood. The morning gave promise of a disagreeable day but at the time of the services the sun came out and all was quiet, serene and beautiful as her life had been. A large crowd was at the church in slight token of the respect in which she was held. The pall bearers were chosen from among the young men who had been her schoolmates.

Interment was in St. Francis cemetery near Belmond.
