Mrs. Chas. Imboden funeral today
Mrs. Charles Imboden, 90, a longtime resident, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Roy Hendrickson, Monday evening, after a lengthy illness. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Full Gospel Assembly Church here with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Surviving in addition to her daughter, Mrs. Hendrickson, are two brothers, Roy Wickwire, Eagle Grove; and Thad Wickwire, St. Petersburg, Fla. and a sister, Mrs. Lottie Thomas, San Jose, Calif. Born in Stevenson County, Ill., Daisy Wickwire attended school in Eagle Grove and taught in the country schools of the area. In 1902 she married Charles Imboden in the Eagle Grove Baptist Church and the couple made their home here. He died in 1964. Mrs. Imboden had made her home with her daughter since his death and for the past 18 months had been confined to her bed.

Daisy Viola Wickwire was born December 19, 1879, Eagle Grove, the daughter of Edwin and Eliza Parr Wickwire, in Stephenson County, Illinois. The family came to Iowa when she was a child, and settled in the vicinity of Woolstock and Duncombe here she attended the country schools and grew to young womanhood. She taught in the country schools in this area until her marriage to Charles Imboden at the Baptist Church in Eagle Grove, on December 3, 1902. The couple became the parents of a daughter, Erma, Mrs. Roy Hendrickson of Eagle Grove. The lived their entire lives in this community, with the exception of five years in North Dakota. Mr. Imboden passed away in December
of 1964. At an early age, Mrs. Imboden was baptised and converted in the Baptist Church in Eagle Grove. She was a faithful Christian and spent her life being helpful to others. Her life was devoted to her husband, Charles, her daughter, Erma, and to being a good friend and neighbor to all who knew her. She had been a faithful attender of the Full Gospel Assembly Church until her illness prevented her from going to church, which she loved to do, and had made such a big part of her life.

She died at the home of her daughter, Erma, on March 23, at the age of 90 years, 3 months, and 4 days. She had been confined to her bed for 18 months before her death. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Roy Hendrickson, Eagle Grove, a sister. Mrs. Lottie Thomas, San Jose, Calif., 2 brothers, Roy Wickwire, Eagle Grove, and Thad Wickwire, St. Petersburg, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers and 3 sisters.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 26, at the Full Gospel Assembly Church, with the Rev. L. L. Fogelman officiating. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
