Charles Imboden Dies Wednesday
Charles Imboden, 84, died soon after noon Wednesday in a Fort Dodge hospital where he had been a patient less than 24 hours. Suffering from a heart ailment he was taken to the hospital Tuesday evening. Funeral services are planned for 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the Full Gospel Assembly. Rev. L. L. Fogelman will officiate. Mr. Imboden, a long time Eagle Grove resident, is survived by his wife, and one daughter Mrs. Roy Hendrickson and one sister Mrs. Nora Laurent of Ashland, Ore.

Charles Samuel Imboden was born Jan. 31, 1880 to parents John and Margaret Imboden in Polk county. He died Dec. 16 at the Lutheran hospital in Ft. Dodge where he had been a patient for less than 24 hours. At the age of four he moved with his parents to a farm south of Eagle Grove where he spent all of his early life. On Dec. 3, 1902 he was united in marriage to Daisy Wickwire. To this union was born one daughter. Erma. He lived his entire life in Eagle Grove and vicinity with the exception of about five years in North Dakota. After leaving the farm he did different kinds of work in Eagle Grove and for many years was a masons tender for William Floyd. He was converted in the Dan Shannon Evangelistic meetings and baptized by the late Rev. E. A. Anderson, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Eagle Grove. At the time of his death he was an active and faithful member of the Full Gospel Assembly in Eagle Grove.

He is survived by his wife Daisy and daughter Erma, Mrs. Roy Hendrickson and one sister Mrs. Nora Laurent of Ashland, Ore. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Full Gospel Assembly in charge of Rev. L. L. Fogelson. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery. He belonged to I.O.O.F. Golden Links Lodge No. 684, Eagle Grove Encampment No. 12, Canton Eagle No. 11 Patriarchs Militant.
