Fran Weissinger, 83, Toledo, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000 at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Congregational Church with Rev. Greg Ellcey officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Frances Virginia Park, daughter of Ray and Marybelle Omstead Park, was born Jan. 4, 1917 at Woolstock. She attended Webster City schools and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1934. She also attended Webster City Junior College. On March 29, 1939 she married Frank H. Weissinger at Webster City. The couple resided in several Iowa communities, where they were employed in hotel/motel management. During W.W. II, she resided in Webster City while her husband was in the military. From 1946-1952, they resided in Des Moines. In 1952, they moved to Webster City where they managed the Willson Hotel until 1970. They then operated hotels and motels in Grand Junction, Des Moines and Ames. In 1974, they moved to Marshalltown and managed Lincoln Towers Apartments. They retired in 1979 and returned to Webster City. In 1989, they moved to Toledo. Mr. Weissinger died on August 15, 1989. While in Webster City, she had also worked at People's Natural Gas, the Hamilton County Courthouse and was church secretary for several years at the First Congregational Church.

Survivors are a daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Ronald Long, Marshalltown, and a grandson, Jeb Long of Maryville, MO. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard Park.

She was a member of the First Congregational Church, church circles, a volunteer at the Hamilton Hospital gift shop and a former member of the Webster City Senior Citizens.
