Eldon Tudor, 83, Fort Dodge, died Monday, Feb. 14, 2000 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Rochester, MN. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Foster Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Artrip officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Thursday and prior to the service on Friday.

Lowell Eldon Tudor, son of Roy and Bessie Thompson Tudor, was born May 9, 1916 at Woolstock. He graduated from Woolstock high school. During the 40's, he farmed and operated a trucking business. On March 3, 1949 he married Nina Brooks in Minnesota. The couple owned and operated the Webster Hotel in Webster City from 1949 to 1956. They moved to Coalville and he was in seed sales. In 1957, they moved to Fort Dodge and operated the Elna Motel until the late 70's. They had also owned hotels in Boone, Fort Madison and Cameron, MO. He had operated the seed business for more than 50 years. He retired because of failing health and continued to reside in Fort Dodge.

He is survived by his wife, Nina, sons and daughter-in-law, Jim Gargano of Sandy, UT., Roy and Marge Tudor of Madison, WI., grandchildren, John and Mike Gargano, Kris and Kelly Tudor; brother Sid Tudor of Webster City; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Madeline Wright and Beulah Severson. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Webster City.
