Helen Elaine Anderson, 81, of Tempe, a retired accounting administrator, died Aug. 7, 1999. She was born in Randolph, Iowa. Survivors include her sister, Ardeth Mygatt; several nieces and a nephew.

Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Carr-Tenney Mortuary, 2621 S. Rural Road, Tempe, with visitation an hour before.

ELAINE ANDERSON

Elaine Dodd of Tempe, Arizona, was born on October 10, 1917, at Randolph, Iowa, the daughter of Harl and Emma Dodd. She graduated from Randolph High School and was a former member of the Randolph High School and a former member of the Randolph Presbyterian Church. She also graduated from Peru State Teachers College in Peru, Neb., and for several years taught elementary school at Woodbine, Iowa. Later she worked for Central Surveys in Shenandoah, Iowa, before moving to Arizona in 1951. In Arizona, she first worked at First National Bank before working as a supervisor of the Business Information System in the Comptroller's Office at Arizona State University for 27 years. She was a member of the Desert Club, the DAR, and the Presbyterian Church.

Elaine Dodd Anderson of Tempe, Arizona, formerly from Randolf, Iowa, died-Saturday, August 7, 1999, at the age of 81.

She is survived by her sister, Ardeth Mygatt, Eagle Grove, Iowa; three nieces and one nephew and their families; a sister-in-law, Faye Dodd, Randolph; and her surviving cousins and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur Anderson, and three brothers, Lyle, Rolland, and Clark Dodd.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 10, 1999, at 2 p.m. at Carr-Tenney Mortuary in Tempe, with burial at Mountain View Cemetery, Mesa, Arizona.

Carr-Tenney Mortuary in Tempe was in charge of arrangements.
