July 22, 1901 ---- April 10, 1982

Edwin H. Aldrich, 80, of 177 N.E. Conifer Blvd., died early today at Good Samaritan Hospital. The son of Herbert and Emily Ann Lynk Aldrich, he was born July 22, 1901, in Galt, Iowa. He received his early schooling at Clarion, Iowa, and learned plumbing at a Cedar Rapids, Iowa trade school. He worked as a plumber in the Chicago and Los Angeles areas and, during World War II, in the South Pacific for the U.S. War Department. He retired in 1964. He and his wife Grace moved to Corvallis in 1970. He held an honorary life membership in local 71 of the plumbers union. He was a member of BPOE 1416 of Huntington Beach, California, a charter member of BPOE 2408 in Bullhead City, Arizona, and Moose Lodge 1411 of Corvallis.

Besides his wife he is survived by a son, Roger, Fair Oaks, California; a daughter, Carol Jennings, Grosse Point, Michigan; and five grandchildren. No local services will be held. The body will be sent to Compton, California, for mausoleum entombment in that city's Angeles Abbey. Contributions are to go to the City of Hope, Los Angeles. They may be sent to McHenry Funeral Home at 206 N.W. 5th St.
