Mrs. Martin Ulstad, daughter of Olaus and Olena Larson, was born in Humboldt County, Iowa, November 26, 1881 and died at Cherokee, Iowa, September 25, 1948. She was baptized into the Lutheran faith and was confirmed in Samuel Lutheran Church September 15, 1895.
Mrs. Ulstad was preceded in death by one daughter, Violet, who died August 7, 1924.
She is survived by her husband, one son Orville Ulstad of Bricelyn, Minn., three daughters, Mrs. Clifford Carlson of Gaylord, Minn., Mrs. James Johnson of Eagle Grove, Iowa and Mrs. Newell Warland of Eagle Grove, Iowa, one sister, Mrs. John Mellgren of Eagle Grove, Iowa and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Wilson Funeral Chapel, Tuesday, September 28 at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Hardis C. Bakken officiated. Interment was made at the Holmes Cemetery, Holmes, Iowa.
