April 10 rites for Hans O. Moklebust

Hans O. Moklebust, 94, of Thor, died at Humboldt Care Center North Thursday morning. Services will be 2 pm Saturday at Ullensvang Lutheran Church, Thor, with burial in Norway Lake Cemetery near Thor. Kastler-Babcock-DeYoung Funeral Home, Eagle Grove, is in charge. Surviving are sons, Bernard Moklebust, Eagle Grove; John, Humboldt; daughters, Mrs Alvin Thorson, Thor; Mrs Sigvald Holt, Ellsworth; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mr Moklebust was born in Norway and came to the United States in 1898. He worked in Minnesota for a short time, then owned and operated a meat market at Thor until 1934. He later was engaged in farming. He retired in 1956. He married Anna Knutson of Thor in 1912 at Thor. Mrs Moklebust died in 1970.
