Mrs. Earl Anderson funeral Wednesday
Mrs. Earl Anderson, 84, died early Sunday morning at the Rotary Ann Home, Eagle Grove. She had been ill about a month following a severe heart attack. She was hospitalized and had returned to Rotary Ann about ten days before her death. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in the United Presbyterian Church in charge of the pastor Rev. C. William McConnelee, and burial was in Glenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Anderson is survived by her husband, one daughter Mrs. John Erlander of Eagle Grove, one granddaughter and one grandson, two sisters, Mrs. Ray Cunningham and Mrs. Eliot Sevareid, and one brother, Kenneth Whyte, all of Goldfield. Mrs. Anderson was a life long resident of Goldfield, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Whyte. She was married to Earl Anderson in 1911, and they made their home here until three years ago when they moved to the Rotary Ann Home due to health condition reasons of both, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church.Carrie Agnes Whyte Anderson was born June 24, 1890, in Goldfield, Iowa, the daughter of George and Agnes Stevenson Whyte. She attended the Goldfield Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1907. She was united in marriage to Earl Martin Anderson on April 12,1911, at Goldfield, where the couple resided until three years ago, at which time they moved to the Rotary Ann Home, Eagle Grove. She was recuperating from a heart attack suffered a few weeks earlier, and died Sunday morning, April 13 at the age of 84 years, nine months and 19 days.
She is survived by her husband, Earl; one daughter, (Louise), Mrs. John Erlander, Eagle Grove, two grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth Whyte; and two sisters, Mrs. Ray Cunningham and Mrs. Eliot Sevareid. She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, three brothers, and four sisters. Mrs. Anderson was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Goldfield.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 16 at the United Presbyterian Church, Goldfield. Rev. William McConnelee officiated and burial was in the Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield.
