HOWARD JAMES SHORT
Howard J. Short was born January 28, 1919, at Webster City, the son of Charles B. and Ethel Iva Adams Short. He has been a resident of Springdale, Ark. for the past five years, coming to Arkansas from Florida. He was a veteran of World War II, the Army Air Corps, and spent most of his working life as a carpenter. He was a member of the Carpenters Union Local #240 of Tampa, Fla.

Howard J. Short, 73, died December 3, 1992 at the Springdale Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; three daughters, Janice Wing, Webster City; Donna R. Hoversten of Alden; Mrs. Phil (Judy) Frakes, Eagle Grove; one brother, Dale Short of Palm Bay Park, Fla.; three sisters, Elma Pelz of Blairsburg; Helen Gembler, Lake Park; LaThela Madsen of Webster City; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, Dec. 12, at 10:30 a.m. at Fosters Funeral Home in Webster City, with Pastor Mark Buchhop officiating. Interment will be in the Graceland Cemetery in Webster City. Local arrangements were by Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale, Ark.
