LYDIA CLAUDE
Lydia Pauline Hilpipre, daughter of Paul and Mary (Eaton) Hilpipre, was born February 14, 1902 on a farm near Woolstock. She attended rural schools. On December 28, 1922, she married William Claude. The couple farmed in the Woolstock area, retiring in 1962. They moved to Webster City in 1977. Her husband died in 1980. She moved to Crestview Manor in May of 1982. Lydia Claude, 90, Webster City, died November 23, 1992 at Crestview Manor Care Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Daryl in 1962; one grandson; one great-granddaughter; five brothers and seven
sisters. She is survived by daughters, Darlene Pruismann, Phyllis Lohf and Wilma Sylvester; son, Merlin Claude; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandson; six great-great-grandchildren; sister-in- law, Norma Hilpipre of Webster City; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Friday, November 27 at the Foster Funeral Home in Webster City. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
