Almeda Williams, 82, Ames and a former Webster City resident died Nov. 4,1996, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Foster Funeral Home, with Dr. Craig Bex officiating. Burial will be at the Community Cemetery, east of Kamrar. Visitation will be at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Wednesday until the time of service.

Almeda Elzora Foster, daughter of Samuel and Hilda Foster, was born May 24, 1914, in Leland. She was educated in rural schools in Minnesota and near Mason City. In 1935, she married Alfred Guggisberg at Eagle Grove. The couple fanned southwest of Eagle Grove. She was a homemaker. They were later divorced. In 1943, she married Emory Charles Williams in Webster City. The couple resided in Webster City. She worked part time at Demand's Restaurant They were later divorced. She moved to Eagle Grove and Woolstock and in 1991 to Webster City. She moved to the Riverside Care Center in Ames in 1994. She is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Robert and Sue Guggisberg, Webster City, Herschel Williams, Des Moines; daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Charles Kinson, Goldfield; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Viola Osborn, Winterset; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Jim Guggisberg, Emory C. Williams Jr.; two grandsons; one great-granddaughter, and seven brothers.
