Emory Charles Williams, Jr., the son of Emory Charles and Almeda Foster Williams, was born on July 15, 1944, at Webster City. He grew up and received his education in Webster City. For several yars he lived in Omaha, Neb. and was employed by the Armour Packing Company. For the past several months, he had lived in Eagle Grove and had made his home with his mother. He died on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 1983, after suffering an apparent heart attack. He attained the age of 39 years and 24 days. He is survived by his wife, Brenda of Eagle Grove; his mother, Mrs. Almeda Williams of Eagle Grove; his sister, Laura, Mrs. Charles Kinison of Eagle Grove; his brother, Rev. Herschel Williams of Lone Wolf, Okla.; two half-brothers, Jimmie Guggisberg of Eagle Grove; Robert Guggisberg of Belle Plaine, Minn, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services for Emory Charles Williams, Jr. were held on Friday, Aug. 12, 1983 at 3 p.m. at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Rev. Herschel Williams of the Assembly of God Church officiated and burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
