PEARL S. HARLAN
Pearl S. Chambers was born on November 14, 1893, the daughter of Samuel and Kate Fox Chambers, Wichita, Kan. She attended Dunlap, Ill. schools. She was united in marriage to George B. Harlan of Peoria County, Ill., on September 25, 1912, at Dunlap, Ill. The couple moved to Fort Dodge that same year, and in 1940, they moved to Eagle Grove. George died in 1965. Pearl S. Harlan died Friday morning, August 26, 1988, at the Rotary Ann Nursing Home in Eagle Grove.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Evelyn Pearl Harlan; an infant brother, and two sisters, Flora Belle Carlyle and Elizabeth Giesenberg. She is survived by one son, Daryl Harlan, Eagle Grove; three daughters, Lois Bath, Tie Siding, Wyo.; Mrs. Tracy (Flora) Whitaker, Aurora, Colo.; and Nelda Marshall, Mahmomen, Minn.; one son-in-law and one daughter-in-law; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Pearl Harlan were held August 30 at 10 a.m. at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home, Eagle Grove, with the Rev. David S. Miller officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery, Fort Dodge. Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
