Funeral Held Here For Former Resident
Mrs. Alice Moats, 90, a longtime resident of Eagle Grove died Jan. 21st in a Des Moines nursing home,
where she had been a patient for the past few years. Mrs. Moats moved from Eagle Grove to Ames about sixteen years ago to make her home with her daughter, Amy Moats. She is survived by her three daughters, Mrs. Grace Middleton of Des Moines, Miss Amy Moats of Ames and Mrs. D. L. Rice of Mt.
View, Calif. Also one granddaughter, Miss Margaret Middleton of Des Moines. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Wilson's Chapel, in charge of the Rev. Harrison Dawes, pastor of the Methodist church. On account of the condition of the roads the burial service was postponed until Monday afternoon. Mrs. Middleton, Miss Moats and Mr. and Mr. Wayne Middleton of Waterloo were present for the funeral services.
