Joseph Willis MacMahon, died Saturday night at Lutheran hospital, Fort Dodge, where he had been a patient for two weeks. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Sandvig Funeral Home in charge of Rev. Bernard G. Olson, pastor of the First Methodist church. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mr. MacMahon is survived by two sons and one daughter, Joe A. MacMahon of Badger, Ralph R. MacMahon of Waterloo, and Mrs. Edward Tokheim of Vincent. He is also survived by five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Mr. MacMahon was born in Plano, Ill., Oct. 19, 1876, and his parents were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph D. MacMahon. At an early age he moved with his parents to Marshalltown, Ia., where he attended school and began working as a fireman for the Chicago and North Western R.R. He was transferred to Crookston, Minn. and worked for the railroad as an electrician. In 1923 he was transferred to Eagle Grove where he was employed as an electrician for the C. and N. W. until he retired.
He was married to Helen Matilda Hoppe on July 25, 1907 at Crookston, Minn. Mrs. MacMahon died May 15, 1962.
