The death of Ruth Ethel Nelson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Will Nelson of Head Grove occurred on March 18, 1914, being six years and 15 days old. She died of pneumonia of which she was a patient sufferer for several weeks, never complaining.

She leaves to mourn her untimely death a father, mother, four sisters and one brother.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Eagle Grove and she was laid to rest in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
