Ray Elston Died at Story City Hospital; Result of Stroke

Special to the Journal:
Story City, Feb. 3--Ray Elston, 32, passed away at the Story City hospital Wednesday afternoon at 2:30, following a stroke of apoplexy suffered on Monday. He was taken to the hospital on Tuesday and death took place twenty-four hours later. Elston, who formerly live at Clarion, had lived on a farm north of Story City for the past three years. He leaves a wife and three little sons, ages 5, 7 and 10 years. He also leaves his parents Mr. and Mrs. Ed Elston of Ames, a brother Gerald Elston of Des Moines and sisters Mrs. Tim Myers of Blairsburg and Inez Elston of Ames. The funeral will be held Friday at 2:00 at Immanuel Lutheran church, following a prayer service at the home. The service will be in charge of Rev. T. T. Heimarck. Burial will be in the Story City cemetery.
