Services for Antone Speich held June 10

Funeral services for Antone Speich were held Wednesday, June 10, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Ottosen, with Rev. Gerhardt officiating. Burial was in the Union Cemetery at Ottosen. Schellhammer Funeral Home of West Bend was in charge.

Antone Speich, son of Fred and Vereno Speich, was born on Nov. 22, 1892, at Renwick, Iowa, where he grew up and received his education. On March 16, 1922, he was united in marriage to Ellen Johnson at Eagle Grove, Iowa. He moved to Ottosen in 1939 where he farmed all his life, Antone passed away Sunday, June 7, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Dodge, reaching the age of 77 years, 6 months and 17 days. He was a World War I veteran. Surviving are: his wife, Ellen; three daughters and four sons: Mrs. Paul Berninghaus of Fort Dodge, Mrs. Gene Wodston of Gladbrook, Miss Ruth Speich of Ames, Edwin Speich of Ottosen, Robert Speich of Algona, Norman Speich of Hampton, and Arland Speich of Cedar Rapids. Also surviving are: seven grandchildren, two sisters: Mrs. Mary Heggen of Renwick, and Mrs. Celia Wigans of Humboldt. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, three half brothers and five half sisters. Soloist was Mrs, Victor Meyer who sang "How Great Thou Art," Accompanist was Mrs, Richard Kinseth, Casket bearers were Chet Alme, Louis Jacobson, Victor Besch, Donald Usher, Cletis Hunderlmark and John Ludwig, Mrs. Norman Helleseth and Mrs. Raymond Loos was in charge of the floral arrangements,
