Funeral services for Mrs. Grace Selleck, 93 of Dows were held from the United Methodist Church on Friday at two o'clock. The Rev. Cuddebeck officiated at the last rites and burial was in the Fairview Cemetery. The Willim Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Selleck died Tuesday at the Clarion Hospital where she had been a patient since last Tuesday.

Born on June 20, 1877 at New Cambria, Missouri, she was the daughter of William and Elizabeth Jane Trotter Robertson and came to the Williams area at age four. She was educated in the Williams schools and attended Iowa State Teachers College. She taught in the rural schools and at Williams before coming to Dows in 1909 where she taught second grade.

She was united in marriage with Wilford F. Selleck in Dows on September 6, 1911 and he died in 1946. Surviving are one daughter, Miss Gwendolyn Selleck of Dows and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one infant son, two sisters and one brother.

Mrs. Selleck was a faithful and active member of the United Methodist Church and had been a Sunday School teacher for over 50 years. She was also a member of the WSCS and Mary Circle. She was a fifty year member of the Order of Eastern Star #357 and was a past Matron.
