MARGARET NAOMI OLSON
Margaret Naomi Rygh was born November 30, 1930, the daughter of Selmer and Elizabeth Rygh at Lake Mills. Her education began in a country school. She spent her freshman and sophomore years in Emmons, Minn., before moving to Lake Mills, where she graduated from high school in 1948. She was united in marriage to Vincent Olson of Lake Mills, August 28, 1949, at the Lime Creek Lutheran Church in Emmons. Before settling in Eagle Grove in 1964, she and her family had lived in several areas, including Butterfield and Odin, Minn., as well as Lake Mills, Orange City, and Goldfield. She was employed for four years with Dr. Wesselink in Eagle Grove as a receptionist before becoming assistant cashier and head teller at Brenton Bank and Trust for a period of 24 years. She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove.

Margaret Olson died February 17, 1992, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, following an extended illness. She lived to the age of 61 years, two months, and 17 days. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband; her son, Bradley and his wife, Marianne of Minneapolis, Minn.; three daughters, Mrs. Tom (Claudia) Sheets, Lawton; Becky Olson, Des Moines; and Mary Jo Olson of Cedar Falls; four grandchildren; two brothers, Paul Rygh of Lake Mills; Earl Rygh of Garner; and sister, Barbara Crawford of West Des Moines.

Funeral services were held February 21 at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove. The Revs. Lyle Peters and Maynard Moen officiated the 1:30 p.m. services and burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Kastler-Babcock Services, Eagle Grove, was in charge of arrangements.
