Goodell - Howard R. Dominy, 75, of Goodell, died Saturday (March 7, 1987) at a Mason City hospital. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Belmond, with Father John Karal officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Belmond. Mr. Dominy was born Oct. 3, 1911, in Windsor, Mo., to William S. and Elsie (Pool) Dominy. At age 7, after his mother died, he moved to Goodell to live with his aunt and uncle, John and Mary Dominy. He graduated from Goodell High School and lived on a farm one mile north of Goodell for nearly 60 years. Mr. Dominy was a one-time trustee of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Goodell, and a committee member of Farmers Home Administration. Visitation will be after noon today at Tenold Funeral Home, Belmond. A rosary will be recited at 2:30 this afternoon and a Scriptural service at 7 tonight, both at the funeral home. Mr. Dominy is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Russell Brignon, Mrs.. Marion Hendrickson, Moline, Ill. and Mrs. LeRoy (Josephine) Carolus, Goodell, and a niece and nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents.
