ELDRIDGE, Iowa - Services for Dorothy Genes, 85, of 519 W. Valley Drive, will be 1 p.m. Monday at Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport. Burial will be in Oakdale Memorial Gardens, Davenport. Visitation will be one hour before the service Monday. She died Friday at Bettendorf Health Care Center. Dorothy Allaben married Demetreos Genes in 1927 in Rock Island. He died in 1961. Memberships included United Methodist Church, Goodell, Iowa, and she enjoyed sewing. Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, Eldridge. Survivors include a daughter, Kleo Gecsey, Long Grove; a son, James, Waggaman, La.; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
