Funeral services for Mrs. Tillie Andrews Meylink were held from the Rowan United Church of Christ on Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. Rev. Dr. James P. Gable officiated and burial was in Graceland Cemetery at Rowan. The Eyler-Willim Funeral Home of Clarion was in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Meylink died at the Belmond Care Center on Wednesday, September 5 at the age of 95. Casket bearers were: Myron, Verlynn, John, James, and Leslie Andrews and Mark Halfwassen, all grandsons. Mrs. Larry Aldrich was the organist.

Matilda was born on February 5, 1889 near Geneva and was the daughter of Henry and Katherine Borchers Bohlen. At the age of five she moved with her family to a farm northeast of Rowan where she attended country school. Her first marriage was to Leslie Andrews on February 16, 1909 at the Congregational parsonage in Rowan. They farmed near Rowan and he died in 1945. In November of 1950 she was married to John Meylink at Rowan and they lived at Rock Valley. He died in 1963 and in the fall of 1964 she returned to Rowan. In January of 1979 she entered the care center.

Survivors include three children: Ronald Andrews of Belmond, Mrs. Henry (Noma) Halfwassen of Sheffield and Ryle Andrews of Belmond, 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by two step-children: Robert Meylink of Albuquerque, N.M. and Mrs. Lloyd (Amy) Jones of Sioux Falls, S.D. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, three sisters, a son; Vergene Andrews in 1978 and a great grandchild.

She was a life member of the United Church of Christ and served in the Women's Fellowship and Alpha Circle. She also was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a past member of the Senior Citizens and Homemakers Club.
