27 October 1899 ----- 8 September 1984

Mrs. Clifford (Ida May) Jordanger, 75, 1007 2nd St. SW, Clarion, died at the Clarion Care Center on Saturday afternoon, September 8, 1984. She had been in ill health the past several months, in the hospital for six weeks and at the care center since Thursday. Funeral services were held from
First Lutheran Church on Tuesday morning at ten-thirty. Reverend William Granger officiated and burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. The Eyler-Willim Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Gary Brandt was the organist and vocal selections were by Mrs. Robert Miller and Mr. and Mrs. Burdette Young. Bearers were: Gary Block, Mike Brand, Duane Jordanger, Arthur Nelson, Don Berhow and Orville Anderson.

Ida was born near Renwick on January 1, 1909 and was the daughter of Otto and Lottie Kelling Block. She graduated from Renwick High School. On September 7, 1927 she was married to Clifford Jordanger at Eagle Grove. They farmed near Kanawha In 1962, they moved to Clear Lake and in July of 1980, they came to Clarion. She is survived by her husband; three daughters; Mrs. Roger (Dorothy) Burras of Clarion, Mrs. Tom (Lois) Cushman of San Diego, California, and Mrs. Richard (Phyllis) Bivona of Brookfield Center, Connecticut. Eleven grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, two brothers; Lloyd Block of Columbia, Mo. and Bert Block of Green Valley, Arizona, and two sisters: Mrs. Pearl Trotter of Torna, California, and Mrs John (Ruth) Brand of Fort Dodge. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister, and a son, Merle, in 1974.

Mrs. Jordanger was a member of First Lutheran Church. She was a charter member of the Kanawha Women's Club.
