Delores Jane Gould, nee Hadden, was born on April 17, 1931 and passed away peacefully on August 2, 2018. Jane is survived by her three children and five grandchildren: James E. Gould of Bolingbrook, Illinois, his wife Lori and daughter Lauren; Joan G. Friend and her fiancé Thomas B. Ellis of St. Charles, former son-in-law Mark S. Friend and son John, daughter Molly and son-in-law Andrew Johnson; Jacqueline A. King of Lee’s Summit Missouri and daughter Ashly; and many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years John D. Gould (Jack), her parents Etta and Chester Hadden, brother Robert and sister Joan Wood.

After growing up in Eagle Grove, Iowa, Jane followed in her Mother’s footsteps and pursued her life long dream of becoming a nurse by graduating from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, in Denver, Colorado in 1952. After working in San Diego California, Jane returned to Denver to marry Jack Gould. Jane had a long career as a surgical nurse and retired from St. Joseph’s Health Center in 1996. Jane was a life long member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and an active volunteer for FISH emergency assistance organization of St. Charles County. Despite her decline from Alzheimer’s disease, she never lost her beautiful spirit and smile. She was a compassionate nurse who cared for so many throughout her lifetime and who was lovingly cared for by her friend Sister Rita Thomas and the staff at Mount Carmel Senior Living and Heartland Hospice. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association Greater Missouri Chapter – or St. Peter’s Church, St. Charles, MO.

Services: Visitation: 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM, Wednesday August 8, St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 221 First Capitol Drive, St. Charles, MO.
Funeral Mass: 10:30 AM Wednesday with burial in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
