Lena Caroline Cragevick, daughter of Tollef and Carrie Cragevick was born in Hardanger, Norway June 2nd, 1871. Two years later, in 1873, the family came to the United States to Lee, Ill., where they lived for six months, after which they moved to Ellsworth, Iowa, where they made their permanent home. She was married to Martin Roseland December 26, 1894, and they made Eagle Grove their home. To this union five children were born, two of which have passed away. Three still surviving are Clifton and Jessie Roseland and Margaret Branaka, who with her husband mourn the loss of a loving mother and a kind wife. Her parents have both passed away. Seven sisters and one brother also survive Mrs. John Jacobson of Jewell, Iowa, Mrs. Sam Tokheim of Swea City, Iowa, Mrs. James Brown of Eagle Grove. Iowa, Mrs. Orem Danielson of Ellsworth, Iowa, Mrs. Ed Nelson of Sterling, Colo., Mrs. Andrew Vig of Opal, S. D. Mrs. Andrew Nelson of Thompson, Iowa, and Mr. Ole Cragevick of Butte, Mont.
