OBITUARY OF JOHN ROSELAND
Deceased was Born in Norway in 1860 and Came to America 29 Years Ago

John Roseland was born in Norway on August 5th, 1860. He came to this country in 1883. For three years he lived in Clinton county, Iowa, and the remainder of his life he lived in Wright county. He had been in poor health for the past year. He was taken very sick the 30th day of May and died on the 11th day of June aged fifty-two years, ten months and 16 days. The burial was in Rose Hill Friday afternoon with Rev. L. O. Thorson in charge of the services. The first service was held at the farm home and funeral services were conducted at the United Lutheran church at 2 o'clock. The deceased is survived by his wife and nine children, five boys and four girls. Mr. Roseland was one of Wright county's well known and highly respected and prosperous farmers. He has a well improved farm about five miles from town. His death was unexpected at the time it occurred and ho leaves a wide circle of friends besides the bereaved relatives who mourn his loss.

SUDDEN DEATH OF JOHN ROSELAND
The death of John Roseland, northeast of town, occurred at his home Tuesday evening at about 9:00 o'clock. Mr. Roseland had been ill about two weeks, but was not considered at all dangerous. He passed away quite suddenly, evidently of heart failure. Funeral services will be held on Friday, at the home at 12:00 o'clock, and at the church in Eagle Grove at 2:00 o'clock. Mr. Roseland was 52 years of age, an old settler of Wright county and one of our highly respected citizens. Mr. Roseland is survived by his wife and nine children, seven of the children being by his first wife. He has three brothers, Martin and John G. of this place, and Ole, of Everett, Washington.
